Maine Love Cattery started by myself and my wife owning two maine coon pets, Ubuntu & Shimanga. We immediately noticed a huge difference between our maine coons and very quickly fell in love with their personalities and spirit in general. They were just different than our domestics, they loved playing for hours, enjoyed cuddle time more and quickly became the sunshine of the house!

We decided that we MUST share this love we have for maine coons with everyone and decided to start this journey. 

Maine Love Cattery is registered with the SAACC (South African Cat Council) Cattery Code: 3854 and Transvaal Cat Society.  We started our cattery journey by sourcing the best possible mentors with years of experience and knowledge to ensure our success and that we follow the best possible standards and guideline of the breed. We then imported our breeding pairs from some of the best breeders in the maine coon world to make sure that we have a strong and pure line. We looked for specific profiles, muzzles, ears (lynx tips), nose bridge, colors, coats and most important…..health! 

All our cats, that includes our breeding pairs, kittens and maine coon pets are part of the family and treated as such. With love, care and lots of playtime. They sleep with us in our beds and we refuse to keep them in cages where they are treated just as a breeding machine or just another kitten to sell. We want to form a bond with new kitten owners and walk a road along-side them during their journey with their new fur baby.
